Going grey and what it meant to this 50 plus woman

Platinum Grey Hair Helen

It was the best thing I’ve ever done, because it set a whole lot of change in motion.

Jules Peacocke, Director of Lily Jackson Hair & Makeup and the Lily Jackson Hairdressing Potts Point talks about making Helen’s haircut edgy and on-trend, yet relevant to a woman who is in her 50’s and who is grey. Cutting texture and movement into the hairstyle is a paramount, making sure that your grey hair is beautiful is the next.

Grey hair often benefits from a little boost from your stylist with a toner or highlights so it’s a stand-out in any room.

There’s a misconception that going grey mean’s no maintenance, but that’s not the case, especially if you have been colouring your entire head to cover greys.  You don’t have to suffer through unsightly regrowth but we will have to adjust the approach to your colour. And maybe your natural grey hair needs a helping hand like Helen’s.

You also need to style your hair with some great products. On this shoot we used Oribe and R+Co, available online, Lily Jackson Hair & Makeup.
