I had a full head of foils with a cut and blow dry and it was the best one I’ve ever had. Ibrahim was so nice and enthusiastic and so easy to talk to. He did such a great job and made the time fly. My hair feels so soft and it’s exactly what I wanted. I would definitely go again and I would highly recommend to everyone.

Highly recommend Reece at this salon. He really knows how to cut and style thick hair without making it look bulky. I've had my hair cut by him for years now because I haven't found another hairdresser that can cut like this consistently. He was able to bring my natural colour/tone back through some light blonde foils I had done elsewhere and I'm really happy with the results. The overall salon experience was also great. Thank you!

Had a great experience at Lily Jackson! Reece was super nice and detailed with my hair. Every step was done super throughly from the cutting to the colouring and even the blow drying. Went here for the first time yesterday and am thrilled with the result! Reece did an amazing job.One aspect i particularly liked is how upfront they are about the costs. Yes it may be pricey but (a) it’s worth it and (b) they are totally upfront and clear about the cost before they do a thing. I’ve never had that before. I often get an ugly shock at other hairdressers at the end of the session and spent far more than expected. Here I knew what I was signing up for upfront. Also Reece was able to give an indicative cost of the next session - there’ll be less work involved, just maintenance and thus a lot cheaper. Really happy - will definitely be back.

Had an absolutely amazing experience at Lily Jackson the other day. I got a haircut, balayage and styling done by Reece and the entire experience was great, the final results even better and the little head massage at the end of the hair wash was to die for. Reece was very knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the entire process on how the different techniques he was using would impact the final result. I felt like I was in very good hands and the results speak for themselves. The balayage is very intricate and blends perfectly into my natural hair color. Instead of being one dimensional it has many different tones which complement my skintone and hair perfectly and add lots of dimension to my hair. I'm looking forward to returning to the salon in the future for other fun transformations!

I had the wonderful experience in getting a balayage treatment done by Ibrahim, who has been the best hairdresser I have ever come across. I have never seen my hair look better than it has right now, and not only did Ibrahim do such a stunning job, he shared all his knowledge and experience, to help me understand my own hair, different ways to style and treat it that go far beyond merely "doing the job" alone. I am amazed by his talent and moreso, his effort to go above and beyond to give me exactly what I was looking for, all whilst making the entire experience such an enjoyable one, laughing and talking the entire time. I have become a diehard fan, and have already booked in my next appointment because of how wowed I am by this experience. Cannot thank Ibrahim and the team at Lily Jackson enough! I am in love with my hair!!

This salon does an excellent keratin treatment - especially for people with unmanageable curls/frizz like me. I have had many keratin treatments that didn't work as well and so will definitely be coming back for another one at Lily Jackson!

Can not recommend enough!! 🤩 I got blonde balayage by Ibrahim and it is the best my hair has ever looked! You can tell he is very knowledgeable and experienced which is comforting. I am so in love, the blend is immaculate it melts into my roots beautifully 😍 Overall, great experience!

This is by far one of the best salons I’ve ever been to. From the service to the experience to the end result everything was absolutely perfect. Beautiful salon and welcoming!My Hairdresser was Sabrina who took the time to ask about my thick curly hair routine(to give me tips how to care for my hair at home) and what I wanted. I asked for a new look and she suggested a few different haircut looks that will suit my face shape/hair. We talked it through before doing anything!Sabrina was meticulous with my hair, made my curls look fabulous, gave me a cute fringe and lifted my hair that no longer sits dead on my shoulders. She knows her craft exceptionally well because it looks Amazing!The best experience I've had so far! Thank you Sabrina!

As others have said here, Darcy is a genius with curly hair. My previously crazy hair has never looked so good - with very little effort from me. This is all I ask from a hair salon, but have rarely achieved. He is also a pleasure to chat with about any and all topics, and is a gentle human. The salon overall is very professional from bookings, reminders and the overall experience that is provided every time. Actually, don't go there - it might make it harder for me to get an appointment.

Darcy has been thoroughly professional in his approach to styling & Haircare, he has managed to tame my unmanageable hair and made it look healthy without losing its natural waves and curls!He chose a perfect shade of hair colour to restore shine and health to my hair. He also did an almost perfect dry cut, to give a great shape as well.LJ also have a good customer service, friendly staff and Darcy is great conversationalist, engages you well during the long time consuming hair appointments.I would recommend this place and Darcy, specially for wavy curly hair cuts and styling.

I booked in for a blow dry and style on one of the hottest days in Sydney. Sabrina did a wonderful job of smoothing out my hair and the style kept its shape all day and well into the evening. Emily, who washed my hair gave a wonderful head and neck massage as well. Probably the best blow out I’ve had, and I live in LA! Thank you so much.

I got Kerasilk Keratin Treatment and am very happy with my new hair. Darcy was super lovely to chat with and very knowledgeable about hair. Emily, I think assisted and she was very polite and sweet. Cy was very helpful when I made the appointment. Wine and almonds added to the overall pampering experience. My hair went from frizzy, crazy, curly to smooth, straight and fine. If you color hair, make sure you do it two weeks beforehand. I dyed mine just the day before, as made appointment then and the color lightened a bit, but will darken over time. I'm very happy with the amazing transformation and cannot recommend Lily Jackson Hair, Darlinghurst, enough. I shall return when my hair needs to be transformed again. Beautiful place, beautiful people.

It's been about 3 weeks since I had my hair chemically straightened & cut by Darcy, and I gotta say, I love how manageable my hair has become! My hair has always been frizzy and wavy, difficult to comb (even with a detangler) and always dried in a different way. Now, my hair is no longer frizzy and wild and it feels silky and smooth all the time. I can just run my fingers through my hair without it getting knotted, and my hair even stays straight if I tie it up or put it into a bun. Its so easy when I wake up in the morning and only have to spend literally 2 minutes on my hair!The process did take a couple hours, but it seemed like it went by pretty fast. Darcy started by giving my hair a wash, and then putting on the straightening chemical, which he left on for ~ 15 minutes. This was washed off, and after drying most of my hair, he began straightening all the hair (including the baby hairs!) to set the chemicals in. My hair looked pretty amazing and straight by then, but Darcy then had to put a neutraliser (a liquid solution) in my hair for ~ 10 mins, before washing it all off and blow-drying my hair (for the last time).It was an interesting but great experience and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I just this week had the best haircut I have ever had from Darcy at the Darlinghurst salon. I have wilful curly hair. And if the hair dresser doesn’t have great skill with curly hair I’m a ruined woman. My curls become limp waves. And I’ve had some of the best cutters in my time. So when I rang looking for someone experienced with making curly hair look fab I was praying they knew what I was talking about. I was treated so well and the then the great gift of watching Darcy cut me the most wonderful style and curls. Well I think Darcy could cut great style for anyone. Everyone at the salon was beautiful and me - I ‘m a revived strong woman again with fabulous stylish curly hair and a great new hairdresser to keep me gorgeous. Thank you Darcy.

I've got wilful curly hair and I've just found, Darcy, the best curly hair cutter in the world at Lily Jackson, Darlinghurst, I've had many disastrous cuts in my life with hairdressers who have sworn to me they are experienced with curly hair. I have also had some of the most amazing haircuts from highly skilled curly hair cutters and stylers. So I nervously entered Lily Jackson for my first appointment with Darcy. I could see he knew what he was doing. And he warned me that I would have curl shock and that my hair would take a few days to settle in. ON Day 3 after my cut I washed my hair and WOW I found the best curly hair cut ever. Now I have to make sure I always live near wherever Darcy is so I can look fabulous.

I generally don't write reviews but my experience at Lily Jackson is worth one!My graduation was coming and wanted a changed in my hair look, particularly was looking for a balayage style. I purchased the new client balayage package.The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Blue and Tahlia were awesome! Blue coloured my hair, she walked me through the colouring process, and recommended tips to take care of my coloured hair. Tahlia recommended and cut my new haircut which gives more volume and more hairstyle options.I'm happy with my hair makeover and will highly recommend checking out Lilly Jackson, I'm def going back :) It's worth the price

First time here and I'm very happy with my haircut by Tahlia and colour by Blue.Yes, the cost was high (I've never spent that much before)! But I believe it was worth it. I looked up other hairdressers online and wasn't sure who to go to (especially for wanting to get a "balayage" colour done on my hair for the first time. My hair is black and I wanted to go a copper/auburn colour but keep my roots).So I found LJ had many positive reviews so I decided to take the plunge, despite the $$$ but I left the salon very pleased and will return again next month. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I definitely have faith and confidence knowing that I'll be happy with the final results for any other future appointments.Thankyou again, Tahlia and Blue.

Omgeee! Scott... you are AH-MAZING!! I absolutely love my cut and color blend. By far one of the best cut/color/style I've ever had. I was in desperate need of a haircut. I never have time back at home in Hawaii...so I Yelped and Google searched a salon on my layover in Syd. I came across Lily Jackson salon and made an appt. I selected anyone available. I was supposed to have Nadine but she was running behind so I got Scott (who was only stopping by the salon to pick something up). Needless to say I'll definitely be asking for him my next time here. He has the most awesome disposition. He's got a fantabulous personality, great smile, humorous, and he knows what he's doing. I normally get a little nervous before getting my hair done but Scott made me comfortable from the get go. He asked me what I wanted, gave his thoughts and ideas and walked me through the whole process. "Gorgeous" is what he kept saying and I have to agree. I left feeling gorgeous! I can't rave enough about him. I loved the atmosphere. The cleanliness, the music, and the whole lot of staff was friendly. Thank you Lily Jackson and thank you Scott!!! I'll be telling my coworkers about you!

I have medium length thick Asian hair and have always struggled to find a stylist who could confidently cut it to hold a strong shape (I don't like the very layered wispy style that's common with Asian hairstyles). I need to confess I was very nervous at the beginning as it was my first time at Lily Jackson but Blue and the staff were very friendly. This was my first haircut with Nadine and she did such a fabulous job!Based on my likes/brief she started off with a thorough brainstorm of what to fix and how. It became immediately apparent that Nadine understands hair and knows her craft exceptional well. She worked with laser sharp focus and top precision and sure enough the layering result was fantastic. My cut is low maintenance but still versatile and fun, whether I wear my hair up or down. I had my first balayage here a week ago and I am very happy with the result. Blue was my stylist that day and she recommended what was best for my hair even if it was not exactly as what I initially planned on having. I wanted a very light color but my hair was previously overbleached, so I had a different color done that would not damage my hair further and still I was happy with how blue professionally colored my hair and how she went into details about what needs to be done with my damaged hair. I would not hesitate to come back even if it is quite a ride from my place.

Not from Sydney I have been flying back to Adelaide to get my hair done because I couldn't find someone in Sydney with the same quality service and results. I had been recommended to try Lily Jackson for years and finally did. I could not be happier. Blue was absolutely perfect and a delight to have to do my hair. A colour specialist she was able to match my old hair colour recipe, and delivered exactly what I was after. She listened to what I wanted, did not push anything different, and did not try to add on a million expensive items. She recommended a treatment and again was spot on, and not pushy. LOVE this place!Professional and beautiful salon when you walk in that makes you feel welcome! Other places I've been to the hairdressers are so snobby but everyone says hello to you here from the moment you walk in :)My hairdresser was Candice who really took the time to ask me about my hair and what I wanted. They have a complimentary drinks menu including wine so I sipped on my favourite tea while getting my hair done. My biggest fear going to the hairdressers is that they'll cut it too short like so many other places I've been to but Candice did the most amazing job!A lady called Sam was also there and she was so knowledgeable and told me lots of things about my hair and haircare which made perfect sense. Other hairdressers only rave on about the products they're selling or what treatments they have but here they genuinely gave me tips on how to improve my hair quality at home :) highly recommend both Candice & Sam xx

Have had 2 cuts and styles here by Candice and she was excellent! As a guy I'm not very good at explaning what I want when I get my hair cut, but Candice was really great at asking the right questions and I was very happy with end result, which included some colouring as well. Kawada worked magic on my hair that had been overbleached by another hairdresser and snapped. I didn’t think any haircut could’ve saved it without having to shave my head, but he was able to give me a cut that will allow it to grow out nicely. I even get compliments on my hair now. Can’t wait for it to grow longer and get something new. Will definitely be back.

Been a regular at Lily Jackson for at least a couple of years now and I've always enjoyed the experience of having my hair cut there—the service and communication is great. Sam is a brilliant hairdresser who really took the time to figure out what I wanted from my scattered and highly unhelpful description of a hairstyle and now I have a haircut which I'd happily live with for the rest of my life if I was suddenly only allowed one style. The complimentary fringe trims are also great for maintaining undercuts, especially with summer on the way. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a total transformation hair cut on Tuesday - went from shoulder length hair to a pixie cut, which was a huge change as the last time I had short hair was when I was 3 yo! Natasha did my hair with the guiding hand of Kawada - they spent a great deal of time talking to me about my hair and analysing it. Thank you so much for a fantastic outcome and I have even managed to blow dry it exactly as I was shown how to!

I have never done a review on anything before in my life but I honestly cant rave enough about this salon. I had not gone to a hairdresser for almost two years because I was so attached to my long black hair. Even though its just hair and it will grow back, this was a big deal for me. Having the thought of it getting cut scared the heck out of me and the anxiety I would get if I had gone to a hairdresser that didn't give me the results I wanted.

After reading several reviews on here I was 100 percent certain that I was going to Lily's and my hair's destiny was going to be in Sam's magical hands haha. She had so many good reviews I just had to choose her!

From the moment I walked in I was welcomed, I showed Sam a few pictures of my desired look but was still uncertain what would look good for me. Sam had walked me through the whole process together, she was patient and gave me her honest opinions which I greatly appreciated. I felt so reassured that as a result I confidently agreed to have her cut off almost 4 inches of my hair!

Overall, I absolutely love my haircut I wouldn’t have it any other way plus I’ve received so many compliments! I’m confident rocking this new hair do and surprisingly to say, I can’t wait to cut my hair next here. You’ve definitely gained a regular customer. Thankyou Sam and the team you have made this experience unforgettable!

I can not speak highly enough of Lily Jackson Hair! I am a regular and absolutely LOVE this salon. My hairdresser Sam is amazing and never disappoints. She is professional, listens to what I want (whilst giving great, honest advice), friendly and extremely talented. I have gone very short, had two stints with a fringe, and had multiple keratin treatments with Sam and have always been in love with my cut.The whole team is lovely and accomodating. I went to Lily Jackson because I red all the wonderful reviews and since I’ve moved to Sydney only ever had quick “just cuts” maintenance hair cuts. I used to have highlights but after traveling for a few years, I managed to get back to my natural hair colour and was afraid to go somewhere I may not get the results I wanted so kept my natural Mousey hair for almost 5 years. Then I finally I worked up the courage and went...and it’s the BEST hair colour and cut I’VE EVER HAD! Nadine was super nice and understood what I wanted and really nailed it! Only a few people noticed that it was coloured although it looks much blonder but that’s exactly what I wanted, a subtle and natural change. Needless to say I’ll come back to Nadine in the near future! Many thanks!

Been having my hair cut by Jules for many years now and always leave very happy with the result. Around 3 months ago I decided to have a keratin treatment. To say it has changed my life is an understatement and I wish I had made this decision a long time ago! My hair was wavy and difficult to manage and I always used hair straightener's. I haven't had to straighten my hair at all since the treatment and I can now even leave my hair to dry. I would highly recommend this treatment. Thank you Lily Jackson

After moving back to Sydney from QLD I was looking for a new hairdresser, my first time today at Lily Jackson and my colour and cut has turned about amazing . By far the best hair salon experience I've had! Thank you so much, Sam, who made my hair look like a million bucks and made me feel beautiful! My hair was very, very long, thick, dull and damaged (with probably 5 different colours on it..) when I went in and I walked out with the most beautiful balayage hair ever! I'm sure it must have felt like a 4 hour upper body workout for Sam since my hair was so long and thick! lols Everyone at Lily Jackson was so nice and friendly and they made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. What a positively enlightening experience that was Christie Lee!
Came in feeling rather ordinary and walked out feeling nothing less than EXTRAordinary :)! Loved every minute from the great intro conversation to the lush head massage then to be seated with drinks and nibbles while you worked your magic topping it all off with a blow dry that lasted days lol!

The trickiest thing about writing this review, is not to make it sound like an infomercial.
So here is what it comes down to; if you are looking for a place with a subtle yet modern ambience, fantastic customer service, and the best hair you will ever have, then you have found it.
Who knew having ones hair done could be an earthy and authentic experience?
This is a business which cares about their clientele without the need to be pretentious.
One of the most notable things about the salon, is its welcoming atmosphere and sense of spaciousness.
The staff are attentive, highly skilled, and able to listen.
Patricia worked miracles with my somewhat neglected and unkempt tresses.
