As others have said here, Darcy is a genius with curly hair. My previously crazy hair has never looked so good - with very little effort from me. This is all I ask from a hair salon, but have rarely achieved. He is also a pleasure to chat with about any and all topics, and is a gentle human. The salon overall is very professional from bookings, reminders and the overall experience that is provided every time. Actually, don't go there - it might make it harder for me to get an appointment.

Darcy has been thoroughly professional in his approach to styling & Haircare, he has managed to tame my unmanageable hair and made it look healthy without losing its natural waves and curls!He chose a perfect shade of hair colour to restore shine and health to my hair. He also did an almost perfect dry cut, to give a great shape as well.LJ also have a good customer service, friendly staff and Darcy is great conversationalist, engages you well during the long time consuming hair appointments.I would recommend this place and Darcy, specially for wavy curly hair cuts and styling.

i was a little bit weary going in as an asian at a white salon but let me tel u something: scott must have been secretly asian in another life because he literally fixed the absolute worst blonde highlight job ive ever seen (i looked like britney spears in rehab) n he did such a thorough job dying everything. he gave me exactly what i wanted n he was so fun to talk to the time flew by. i literally would marry this man if he werent gay because he saved my whole life

I booked in for a blow dry and style on one of the hottest days in Sydney. Sabrina did a wonderful job of smoothing out my hair and the style kept its shape all day and well into the evening. Emily, who washed my hair gave a wonderful head and neck massage as well. Probably the best blow out I’ve had, and I live in LA! Thank you so much.

I got Kerasilk Keratin Treatment and am very happy with my new hair. Darcy was super lovely to chat with and very knowledgeable about hair. Emily, I think assisted and she was very polite and sweet. Cy was very helpful when I made the appointment. Wine and almonds added to the overall pampering experience. My hair went from frizzy, crazy, curly to smooth, straight and fine. If you color hair, make sure you do it two weeks beforehand. I dyed mine just the day before, as made appointment then and the color lightened a bit, but will darken over time. I'm very happy with the amazing transformation and cannot recommend Lily Jackson Hair, Darlinghurst, enough. I shall return when my hair needs to be transformed again. Beautiful place, beautiful people.

Tahlia does an amazing job at creating a fresh blonde, that still brings through some of my natural colour.. I'm always trying to avoid the dreaded harsh line when your regrowth comes through and Tahlia manages to expertly colour so that you get a great natural fade as your hair grows. I've been dyeing my hair blonde for more than 10 years and this is one of the best salons I've been to. Highly recommend!

It's been about 3 weeks since I had my hair chemically straightened & cut by Darcy, and I gotta say, I love how manageable my hair has become! My hair has always been frizzy and wavy, difficult to comb (even with a detangler) and always dried in a different way. Now, my hair is no longer frizzy and wild and it feels silky and smooth all the time. I can just run my fingers through my hair without it getting knotted, and my hair even stays straight if I tie it up or put it into a bun. Its so easy when I wake up in the morning and only have to spend literally 2 minutes on my hair!The process did take a couple hours, but it seemed like it went by pretty fast. Darcy started by giving my hair a wash, and then putting on the straightening chemical, which he left on for ~ 15 minutes. This was washed off, and after drying most of my hair, he began straightening all the hair (including the baby hairs!) to set the chemicals in. My hair looked pretty amazing and straight by then, but Darcy then had to put a neutraliser (a liquid solution) in my hair for ~ 10 mins, before washing it all off and blow-drying my hair (for the last time).It was an interesting but great experience and I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I just this week had the best haircut I have ever had from Darcy at the Darlinghurst salon. I have wilful curly hair. And if the hair dresser doesn’t have great skill with curly hair I’m a ruined woman. My curls become limp waves. And I’ve had some of the best cutters in my time. So when I rang looking for someone experienced with making curly hair look fab I was praying they knew what I was talking about. I was treated so well and the then the great gift of watching Darcy cut me the most wonderful style and curls. Well I think Darcy could cut great style for anyone. Everyone at the salon was beautiful and me - I ‘m a revived strong woman again with fabulous stylish curly hair and a great new hairdresser to keep me gorgeous. Thank you Darcy.

I've got wilful curly hair and I've just found, Darcy, the best curly hair cutter in the world at Lily Jackson, Darlinghurst, I've had many disastrous cuts in my life with hairdressers who have sworn to me they are experienced with curly hair. I have also had some of the most amazing haircuts from highly skilled curly hair cutters and stylers. So I nervously entered Lily Jackson for my first appointment with Darcy. I could see he knew what he was doing. And he warned me that I would have curl shock and that my hair would take a few days to settle in. ON Day 3 after my cut I washed my hair and WOW I found the best curly hair cut ever. Now I have to make sure I always live near wherever Darcy is so I can look fabulous.

I generally don't write reviews but my experience at Lily Jackson is worth one!My graduation was coming and wanted a changed in my hair look, particularly was looking for a balayage style. I purchased the new client balayage package.The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable. Blue and Tahlia were awesome! Blue coloured my hair, she walked me through the colouring process, and recommended tips to take care of my coloured hair. Tahlia recommended and cut my new haircut which gives more volume and more hairstyle options.I'm happy with my hair makeover and will highly recommend checking out Lilly Jackson, I'm def going back :) It's worth the price

First time here and I'm very happy with my haircut by Tahlia and colour by Blue.Yes, the cost was high (I've never spent that much before)! But I believe it was worth it. I looked up other hairdressers online and wasn't sure who to go to (especially for wanting to get a "balayage" colour done on my hair for the first time. My hair is black and I wanted to go a copper/auburn colour but keep my roots).So I found LJ had many positive reviews so I decided to take the plunge, despite the $$$ but I left the salon very pleased and will return again next month. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I definitely have faith and confidence knowing that I'll be happy with the final results for any other future appointments.Thankyou again, Tahlia and Blue.

Omgeee! Scott... you are AH-MAZING!! I absolutely love my cut and color blend. By far one of the best cut/color/style I've ever had. I was in desperate need of a haircut. I never have time back at home in Hawaii...so I Yelped and Google searched a salon on my layover in Syd. I came across Lily Jackson salon and made an appt. I selected anyone available. I was supposed to have Nadine but she was running behind so I got Scott (who was only stopping by the salon to pick something up). Needless to say I'll definitely be asking for him my next time here. He has the most awesome disposition. He's got a fantabulous personality, great smile, humorous, and he knows what he's doing. I normally get a little nervous before getting my hair done but Scott made me comfortable from the get go. He asked me what I wanted, gave his thoughts and ideas and walked me through the whole process. "Gorgeous" is what he kept saying and I have to agree. I left feeling gorgeous! I can't rave enough about him. I loved the atmosphere. The cleanliness, the music, and the whole lot of staff was friendly. Thank you Lily Jackson and thank you Scott!!! I'll be telling my coworkers about you!

I have medium length thick Asian hair and have always struggled to find a stylist who could confidently cut it to hold a strong shape (I don't like the very layered wispy style that's common with Asian hairstyles). Blue took one look at my hair and knew exactly how to handle it. Fantastic cut, efficient yet careful service and fun conversation if you want to chat. Thanks so much, Blue, will definitely be back!

Scott and Yulya are amazing! They completely understood how I wanted to transform my hair and I am absolutely in loooove with the colour and the final result. Just had my hair permanently straightened and cut by Blue! I love the result! I need to confess I was very nervous at the beginning as it was my first time at Lily Jackson but Blue and the staff were very friendly. They take the time to listen what you want and then give you their advice.Definitely recommend Blue if you are considering getting your hair done!

This was my first haircut with Nadine and she did such a fabulous job!Based on my likes/brief she started off with a thorough brainstorm of what to fix and how. It became immediately apparent that Nadine understands hair and knows her craft exceptional well. She worked with laser sharp focus and top precision and sure enough the layering result was fantastic. My cut is low maintenance but still versatile and fun, whether I wear my hair up or down. Super happy with it, thanks Nadine!

I had my first balayage here a week ago and I am very happy with the result. Blue was my stylist that day and she recommended what was best for my hair even if it was not exactly as what I initially planned on having. I wanted a very light color but my hair was previously overbleached, so I had a different color done that would not damage my hair further and still I was happy with how blue professionally colored my hair and how she went into details about what needs to be done with my damaged hair. I would not hesitate to come back even if it is quite a ride from my place.

Not from Sydney I have been flying back to Adelaide to get my hair done because I couldn't find someone in Sydney with the same quality service and results. I had been recommended to try Lily Jackson for years and finally did. I could not be happier. Blue was absolutely perfect and a delight to have to do my hair. A colour specialist she was able to match my old hair colour recipe, and delivered exactly what I was after. She listened to what I wanted, did not push anything different, and did not try to add on a million expensive items. She recommended a treatment and again was spot on, and not pushy. A rare find in Sydney - definitely recommend Blue!It's taken 3 years but I think I have finally found my hairdresser -thank you BlueKim Burdett

My most recent balayage with Blue, and women's cut and finish with Nadine was such a good experience - I opted for a reasonably drastic change, and I love the results! I went here for the first time to get Japanese permanent straightening done... it's the best thing I've ever done!!!!!! I've had 30 years of frizzy uncontrollable hair and tried everything. Had balayage done for the first time at this salon by the lovely Blue. I am so so happy with the results, it turned out seamless and looks really natural. Although my hair was bleached it felt softer and shinier coming out than it did going in. Service was great, would recommend to everyone

LOVE this place!Professional and beautiful salon when you walk in that makes you feel welcome! Other places I've been to the hairdressers are so snobby but everyone says hello to you here from the moment you walk in :)My hairdresser was Candice who really took the time to ask me about my hair and what I wanted. They have a complimentary drinks menu including wine so I sipped on my favourite tea while getting my hair done. My biggest fear going to the hairdressers is that they'll cut it too short like so many other places I've been to but Candice did the most amazing job!A lady called Sam was also there and she was so knowledgeable and told me lots of things about my hair and haircare which made perfect sense. Other hairdressers only rave on about the products they're selling or what treatments they have but here they genuinely gave me tips on how to improve my hair quality at home :) highly recommend both Candice & Sam xx

As a guy I'm not very good at explaning what I want when I get my hair cut, but Candice was really great at asking the right questions and I was very happy with end result, which included some colouring as well. Kawada worked magic on my hair that had been overbleached by another hairdresser and snapped. I didn’t think any haircut could’ve saved it without having to shave my head, but he was able to give me a cut that will allow it to grow out nicely. I even get compliments on my hair now. Can’t wait for it to grow longer and get something new. Will definitely be back.

Been a regular at Lily Jackson for at least a couple of years now and I've always enjoyed the experience of having my hair cut there—the service and communication is great. Sam is a brilliant hairdresser who really took the time to figure out what I wanted from my scattered and highly unhelpful description of a hairstyle and now I have a haircut which I'd happily live with for the rest of my life if I was suddenly only allowed one style. The complimentary fringe trims are also great for maintaining undercuts, especially with summer on the way. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a total transformation hair cut on Tuesday - went from shoulder length hair to a pixie cut, which was a huge change as the last time I had short hair was when I was 3 yo! Natasha did my hair with the guiding hand of Kawada - they spent a great deal of time talking to me about my hair and analysing it. Thank you so much for a fantastic outcome and I have even managed to blow dry it exactly as I was shown how to!

I have never done a review on anything before in my life but I honestly cant rave enough about this salon. I had not gone to a hairdresser for almost two years because I was so attached to my long black hair. Even though its just hair and it will grow back, this was a big deal for me. Having the thought of it getting cut scared the heck out of me and the anxiety I would get if I had gone to a hairdresser that didn't give me the results I wanted.

After reading several reviews on here I was 100 percent certain that I was going to Lily's and my hair's destiny was going to be in Sam's magical hands haha. She had so many good reviews I just had to choose her!

From the moment I walked in I was welcomed, I showed Sam a few pictures of my desired look but was still uncertain what would look good for me. Sam had walked me through the whole process together, she was patient and gave me her honest opinions which I greatly appreciated. I felt so reassured that as a result I confidently agreed to have her cut off almost 4 inches of my hair!

Overall, I absolutely love my haircut I wouldn’t have it any other way plus I’ve received so many compliments! I’m confident rocking this new hair do and surprisingly to say, I can’t wait to cut my hair next here. You’ve definitely gained a regular customer. Thankyou Sam and the team you have made this experience unforgettable!

I can not speak highly enough of Lily Jackson Hair! I am a regular and absolutely LOVE this salon. My hairdresser Sam is amazing and never disappoints. She is professional, listens to what I want (whilst giving great, honest advice), friendly and extremely talented. I have gone very short, had two stints with a fringe, and had multiple keratin treatments with Sam and have always been in love with my cut.The whole team is lovely and accomodating. I have recommended Sam to many friends and all have left more than happy. Huge thanks to the team.

I went to Lily Jackson because I red all the wonderful reviews and since I’ve moved to Sydney only ever had quick “just cuts” maintenance hair cuts. I used to have highlights but after traveling for a few years, I managed to get back to my natural hair colour and was afraid to go somewhere I may not get the results I wanted so kept my natural Mousey hair for almost 5 years. Then I finally I worked up the courage and went...and it’s the BEST hair colour and cut I’VE EVER HAD! Nadine was super nice and understood what I wanted and really nailed it! Only a few people noticed that it was coloured although it looks much blonder but that’s exactly what I wanted, a subtle and natural change. Needless to say I’ll come back to Nadine in the near future! Many thanks!

Been having my hair cut by Jules for many years now and always leave very happy with the result. Around 3 months ago I decided to have a keratin treatment. To say it has changed my life is an understatement and I wish I had made this decision a long time ago! My hair was wavy and difficult to manage and I always used hair straightener's. Nadine is an absolute expert. She was inquisitive about my hair's history, the products I use often, and how much effort I wanted to put into styling every day. After listening carefully to my preferences, she made me feel at ease, and I left with a much-needed updated hairstyle! I made the huge decision to stop colouring my hair & go naturally grey. I searched for a salon to help me through the process. Not only was I so lucky to find Lily Jackson but to also have Sam as my stylist. Perfect match. Excellent customer service and advise. All staff are very honest and willing to give the advice and treatment that your hair needs and NOT what they want.They were not at all pushy but very attentive and helpful, took time to explain and what is best for your hair and how to achieve your target .......with care ( you won't find short cuts here!)I have finally found a hairdresser that I can say I have committed too. I just wanted to leave a glowing review for Nadine. She went out of her way to stay back late to finish my hair and make it perfect. My hair is thick (strands and density) Asian hair that takes a lot of time, lightening and dye to get a good result, and Nadine put in so much effort and detail even into balayaging my hair sections.She was also very charming and friendly through the whole service even though I held her back for hours.It's definitely the most expensive salon I've been to but you pay for the quality. I've spent more if I total the costs of trying to get a ombre/balayage I didn't obtain from two other salons.

Amazing place! very friendly staff. Recommended to everyone who has high expectations! I moved from oversease and i've been through some rough experience with my hair in Sydney. Having long hair I gradually went from brunet to blonde and my hair were seriously damaged but they needed to be done. I had to do a good search before making an apointment this time. Yes, it wasn't cheap place, but the result was just stanning. Nadine was looking after me from the first minute to the last. She was just fabalous: good listener, confident in what she was doing, and made me feel confortable all the way. She delivered outstanding result!I feel lucky I found this place :-)

Got my hair changed from brown to black today. Trish was the person who looked after me today. She was funny, intelligent and very comforting. She knows exactly what will look good on you and what will look bad. In the end I went along with Trish's opinion on what would look good and she wasn't wrong...it was the perfect opinion and decision. I would go back anytime and any day to get it done all over again.The rest of the staff were also very nice. They made sure everyone was okay, relaxed and extremely comfortable. Very nice place. I went to Lily Jackson because I'd read the reviews online and it sounded great. I showed up to Sam at Lily Jackson with very yellow hair (haven't really toned my blonde) and bad regrowth with the goal of finding a way to be able to grow it out so it looked natural.Sam managed it! I left very happy with my hair and with exactly what I wanted (even though I didn't know what that was when I booked my appointment)All the staff are lovely and helpful and kind.If you want great hair, go there! :)

I arrived in Sydney last year and one of the things I was pretty nervous about was looking for a new hairdresser. I did some research online since I was looking for places that used ammonia free products and that's how I came to know about Lily Jackson. I read some reviews and decided to book an appointment with Sam.I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Sam, she took the time to listen to what I wanted and asked me a ton of questions that I would never have thought about (from shampoos to how I normally style my hair, etc). I felt right at ease with her from the start and pretty much gave her free range, which is what I would recommend anyone to do since she has an amazing sense of style and is very creative.I've gone back about 4 times, to do colour and cut my hair and I love it every time (the staff are also amazing).Sam is incredibly respectful of what you want and if you only want 2 inches cut that's what she'll do (I always ask for her opinion and she has good ideas, so I usually go with what she says).I can't recommend Sam enough, so definitely give it a go!

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and of course, amazing hair! These guys can do anything from a simple shape-up to dramatic and alternative looks.I've always been kind of unimpressed by most hair salons, which is why I stopped going for a while. I found them kind of judge-y and unable to understand what you really want. But Lily Jackson is different. Sam is fantastic. She can really tailor a cut to suit your face and your lifestyle. And she can hear what I want, but can also occasionally stop me from making mistakes haha :).Anyway, I always walk out of there feeling great and wanting to show off my new lob. 100% recommend. <3

I've just had the best experience ever at Lily's and I can finally say that I found a hair dresser to call "home" in Sydney! I had tried several places before and had often had very bad experiences. My last one was such a disaster that I had a look at Google and checked the reviews to find a safe place to go. That's were I found Lily's Jackson. I feel so grateful! Samantha took care of me and not only she is a lovely person but she's also a great listener and a very honest hair dresser. She explained exactly what she was going to do and cut and how it would look like. She also told me the things that were not possible regarding the disaster that the other hair dresser had done (which is pretty rare). In the end she made a miracle and put a huge smile back on my face! The service is great as per the place. And the whole team makes you feel like you're the most important person. This day was most unexpected and meant to be... as Christie Lee my Hairdresser is not only so passionate and talented in creating beautiful styles for her clients, is absolutely brilliant in cutting curly hair. I had long curly to frizzy difficult hair.AND... yes.... I walked out of the Lilly Jackson Salon feeling awesome, so overwhelmed with disbelief that I could look amazing with my new shorter funky and beautifully coloured hairstyle. OMG... I get it, when they say..." it is definitely in the cut ".Even if my hair dries naturally using a style lotion the results are, WOW!! I thank you sincerely Christie in creating such a gorgeous hairstyle, colour and a brilliant pro cut enabling me to manage my hair on the run. Visiting the Lily Jackson salon was, without a doubt, the single greatest decision I have ever made. Thank you so much to Sam who colour corrected my hair a week before my wedding - after another salon turned my hair copper on top and black on the ends, Sam got me in the same day I called (in tears) and got my hair as close to my original natural colour as humanly possible. I had read the google reviews before I came, and the one negative one I read seemed like a bot had written it. So I thought I'd just add to the avalanche of 5 star reviews. A wonderful salon with the best staff who are all ridiculously accommodating. (I left it too late to catch the train to the appointment so one of the staff went and updated my parking ticket! Talk about service! (I actually felt quite guilty about that)) They really know hair. Trish, who did mine, talked to me about the amorphous blob that was my hair previously and how she was going to structure it, so that the layers were consistent and flowed into each other. Despite having the worlds thickest hair, she put foils in it with good grace and persistence, it took about an hour just to get them in! She was extremely thorough and my hair now looks AMAZING. Best hair cut I've ever had. Everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly, they actually care a lot about their work. Thanks guys, will be back soon! :)

When Sam Jupp moved to Australia I told my husband that I also needed to follow her so that I could continue to get amazing haircuts! Sam was able to tell me what would (and wouldn't) suit my face shape, hair type and ability to style it! She really cares about what she does, and is incredibly kind and fun - it was always like catching up with an old friend who gave you brilliant hair cuts. I would highly recommend her.

Who knew having ones hair done could be an earthy and authentic experience?
This is a business which cares about their clientele without the need to be pretentious.
One of the most notable things about the salon, is its welcoming atmosphere and sense of spaciousness.
The staff are attentive, highly skilled, and able to listen.

I get my hair cut by Christie Lee at Lily Jackson and she is in my opinion an absolute hair genius/goddess/star/artist and I could rave on for hours about how awesomely talented I think she is, how grateful I am for how great she has made my hair look (and me feel for finally always having great hair) AND about how great a person, fun, down to earth and lovely she is to talk to as well!!! Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a typical leo when it comes to my hair and how unusual it is for me to be REALLY happy with a haircut but as I feel like I have found hair gold now, I've decided to share the love!I found Christie on Facebook :D. I saw a photo of a girl with this really funky hairdo that was just completely different from what I had seen her in before and just knew I had to go to her hairdresser and yeah, the rest is history. The first cut I got from Christie was a hairstyle that I know some hairdressers would probably have been too pretentious to even give me :D. Christie was super excited to do it on me though and did such a great job that I knew I had finally found my hairdresser!When I got my last haircut, I got an undercut, which is something I had wanted to do for years but hadn't dared to get, but asking her to do it on me was literally the easiest thing as I knew she would make it look as great on me as she could. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOVE the undercut and how she layered/cut the rest of my hair as it's really me and she couldn't have done a better job! Everyone I know has showered me with compliments! I know that I from now on and for as long as Christie continues to be creative with hair, will ONLY trust her with my hair! Justin is the most talented hairdresser that I have ever been to. He got it immediately! I felt confidence in him and was not disappointed. I have lost count of how many people complimented me on my coulour even months after it was done. This man is a genius and also a lovely person to boot. After trying to grow my hair long and having a few really bad cuts, I am always a little cautious to get a chop but I have to say, I am really looking forward to my next haircut. I cannot recommend Justin highly enough and going to the salon is such an enjoyable experience, relaxing atmosphere with fantastic staff.

I've had my hair coloured by many different hair salons throughout the years. However, I have a lot of hair although very fine so it's very difficult to find a hairdresser who can give me a good cut so I haven't had my hair cut in years only ever coloured. I was recommended through a friend to see Christie Lee @ Lily Jacksons for a cut & all i can say is WOW she is amazing!!! So impressed I then trusted Christie to then change me from dark brown to platinum blonde & again WOW.. No breakage, very even colour no yellow tinge & I've been getting so many compliments on how healthy it looks... Very impressed I highly recommend Christie Lee for any of your hairdressing needs she is FABULOUS!!!!

I've spent 40 years roaming this earth not understanding the value of a good cut until a friend promised miracles if I saw Christie. Let's just say I no longer look like a neanderthal. And I still have that friend.Christie has scissor hands. #fact. Those blades have never failed me. Not only can she interpret my style babble, she also snips in some 'edge' which leaves me feeling a little hipper, even for a 40 yo. And the style keeps for few weeks after. #truecuttest.The salon, Lily Jackson, is pretty cool, everyones is friendly and they're fine when my kids come in too which makes it easier. They have 'hair friendly products' which I love and awesome coffee and Kurtosh across the road. #childbribes.I love Christie and highly recommend to my fellow sisters, but PLEASE don't book her out. She knows what styles will work so I rarely give directions, and sometimes I just ask her to take creative liberty and I've never been disappointed with the results! Also does a mean beard-trim. I have been going to Justin for a bit over a year now. At my first appointment I had highly damaged, dark orange bleached hair that I tried to get blonde at other salons. I walked out with a gorgeous new haircut that was way healthier and blonder.Every time I leave Justin's I am happier and happier! He knows how to cut damaged hair without chopping too much length as I have been trying to grow my damaged hair. 6 months ago we decided to put on some great lengths extensions to acheive my dream look meanwhile I am growing my hair. I have had them before and was worried about the colour match and cut so they would blend in and look real as they never really have. Justin proved me wrong as he applied smaller and thicker bundles together and used 3 different shades of colours and cut my hair to blend in with the extensions perfectly again without taking too much length off my own hair. No one has noticed my hair is fake and I get compliments on a daily basis. I LOVE MY HAIR! and it was definitely worth it.Justin also advices me on right care and styling products without trying to sell me stuff I don't need like some other hair dressers.I couldn't imagine on going to anybody else for my hair.

I went to Lily Jackson for the first time last week, and all in all it was a great experience.Over the years of dyeing my hair it became extremely brittle, and I stupidly decided to "perm" my hair overseas which ended up with my hair looking disgustingly dry. I needed a good hairdresser to cut my hair so I booked in with Lily Jackson. There I met Carl, he was busy with another customer but as soon as I walked in the door he stopped what he was doing, greeted me and sat me down. Carl then asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and he listened and threw in some suggestions.Carl knew straight away what I had done to my hair -_- so he recommended a quick hair treatment. After my treatment he spent a good hour cutting my hair! Asking me to stand a few times so he could get the cut even I was super impressed! He was so friendly and made me laugh on so many occasions!I love the end result of my hair cut! It is so easy to style and maintain! I definitely will be going back for my next appointment!

Went to get my hair cut, coloured and styled at Lily J. My hair is thick, naturally wavy and I had grey regrowth. Justin listened to what I was after but also made suggestions, he was able to shape and thin out my hair while still maintaining length, something I find many hairdressers struggle with achieving, without overlayering. He also did a good job with brightening the colour of my hair and disguising the greys. Great haircut - loving the fringe :)) and colour and friendly atmosphere!

I had the pleasure of visiting Lily Jackson on Saturday afternoon to get a haircut not many hairdressers were keen to accomplish. I had very long, thick, curly hair and wanted a shave around the sides. I had the fortune of having my hair styled by the wonderful Carl and Makeup by Clarissa, and I have to say if I could I would do it everyday. The salon feels like home, cups of tea and coffee a plenty.Carl couldn't have been more wonderful, ensuring that I loved the new colour and understanding that I am not a high maintenance girl, he gave me a look that I can pull back or play with depending on my mood.The make up was magnificient and I just wished Clarissa come and visit me everymorning.I have very sensitive skin and the range they use in the Salon did not upset my skin at all, I will definately be buying it the next time mine runs out.I WILL BE BACK!

Jules is the most accommodating, knowledgeable, intelligent and concious hairdresser I have ever been to. Being an engineer I like things to make sense and be very logical, she managed to adress and explain absolutely all the issues I have had with my hair in terms of color, cut, texture, product, care, expectations and future prospects.I was absolutely amazed at what she accomplished and the end result has surpassed my expectations.I have felt like I was the only customer and she had all the time in the world for me. Jules is so easy going, calm and she really cares about your satisfaction. She showed me the quickest way to accomplish the salon result at home as part of my morning routine and then did another version that is more time consuming and proffessional. You can see she knows exactly what to do and is very experienced.The experience is very relaxing and friendly, complimented with drinks (tea, coffe, beer, wine) and a smile. I didn't feel pressured into spending more money by doing unnecessary treatments, bying products or booking another appointment. You get exactly what you want.If you are even considering paying her a visit don't even hesitate, you will be absolutely blown away, it's well worth the price tag.

I've never really felt the urge to continually go back to one place for all my hair style, cut and dye needs. Until I found Lily Jackson. The reason why I keep going back to LJ is simple. They take the time to get to know you and your hair and understand how your hair works. I think perhaps this is why I am continually satisfied with every cut or colour. The staff are great and always make you feel welcome. It's a good place to relax and you're also guaranteed good results on your new hair style. In fact many of my friends have commented on my hair as of late, which means LJ are doing something right! I am happy to recommend them to anyone!

This is conscious and intelligent hairdressing at it's finest.My experience at Lily Jackson Hair & Makeup has been so wonderful that it has prompted me to write my first ever online review.I have been to several of Sydney's 'top' salons and some 'celebrity' stylists over the years. Jules Peacocke is the best hairdresser hands down I have ever been to. I came to see her 18 months ago after I had a very bad experience in a famous salon, where an incompetent colourist chemically burned my scalp. This resulted in me getting bad contact dermatitis, hair loss, and ongoing scalp sensitivity. I was feeling vulnerable due to this experience, and really needed to find a hairdresser who understood my concerns. I felt immediately at ease with Jules the first time we spoke. She really listens and has a kind, calm, and confident presence.I was drawn to the salon initially as they are well known for offering a wide range of professional "green" hair colour, and due to my scalp sensitivity was keen to limit my exposure to chemicals. I have been so happy with the results....shiny, long lasting colour coverage, as well as the BEST HAIRCUTS I have ever had! But more than that, its just a great experience coming here. The energy of the place is really beautiful and I always feel relaxed and comfortable.There are no egos here....just an extremely talented team of lovely and committed professionals. And my hair has never looked so good. Since I started coming, I have also been looked after by Graeme (who is amazing) and also the wonderful and sweet Carl. Basically you can't go wrong here.For special occasions I recommend both Carissa and Jules for make-up...they are both talented professional make-up artists.I am so happy I found Lily Jackson salon. They can expect a client for life! Thanks guys!

I came to Lily Jackson after many years with the same hair dresser. I have always had positive experiences will all the hair dressers at Lily Jackson, and in particular with their Director and founder, Jules. She took a gesture and a few short sentences about what I like (I’m not fantastic at being able to articulate these things) and gave me a cut that was admired by many and made me feel just beautiful! I can honestly say that I have never left from a cut and colour at Lily Jackson without positive comments.The staff at Lily Jackson are professional yet friendly, and I simply love the offer of tea or coffee as I arrive. Going to Lily Jackson is an experience rather than an appointment. I particularly look forward to the head massage that comes with hair washing. It is these fine details alongside superior hairdressing that distinguishes Lily Jackson and makes it THE hair dressing salons to go to in Sydney.

Having moved from Melbourne to Sydney, I was in desperate need of a new hairdresser. I had been seeing the same person for 7 years, so was very nervous about going to someone new. I made an appointment for a colour consulation and dived in.To begin with, the salon is beautiful. Light and airy with pleanty of space, you don't feel as if you're another number waiting to be served.Jules listened to what I wanted to do, asked loads of questions and gave me a great quote. I booked my appointment then and there.When I arrived for my colour appointment, everyone was so lovely. It was quite early in the morning, and yet the staff were happy to be at work. Jules went over what we'd spoken about before, showed me a few swatches of colour and made sure I understood how the colours were going to behave on my hair. I felt fully confidant, sat back and let her do her work.The result? Amazing! My colour is vibrant and gorgeously matched to my skin tone. I love it, and my curls never looked better!I will certainly be a regular on the books at Lily Jackson, and highly recommend the salon.

Just done my hair today at Lily Jackson, it was such an enjoyable experience! My stylist Adam has been so amazing! He is so patient with me and communicated with me really well during to whole process and making suggestions with his professional experiences. The cut was really nice and when my friend saw me in the afternoon, she asked where i got it done and said it's really nice! The highlights is also very natural looking which is exactly how I wanted it. I can feel the amount of care they take with everything they do. They also use all sulfates & paraben free products which are so nice! Thank you Adam! Will definitely be back soon!
