COVID SAFE BEST PRACTICES FOR OUR HAIR SALON

I want to share our latest information about our COVID Safe best practices.

  • All stylists have been isolating and social distancing when not at work and REMAIN WELL AND HEALTHY.
  • We have been open since 15th April 2020 with no incidents.
  • We continue to implement as many of the Covid Safe practices as practically possible.

Our “new normal”

We are confident with the following covid-safe restrictions you are in safe hands:

  1. Limit number of stylists per location.
  2. We continue our high standard of sanitisation of chairs, basins, stations and all public salon areas.
  3. Maintain with social distancing for clients minimum 4 m2.
  4. Staff will wear masks and gloves where ever possible (gloves not possible when cutting).
  5. No cash transactions – only card transactions accepted
  6. $100 non-refundable deposit required to secure appointment – if you are unable to attend the deposit will go onto your account for use at a later date. No exceptions to this rule.
  7. All clients required to answer screening health questions when making an appointment and when arriving at the salon.
  8. Clients may wear masks for parts of their appointments if they choose.
  9. Clients must come to the salon alone – no children or companions permitted.
  10. Stylists have been given extra time to sanitise themselves and their work spaces before seeing a new client.
  11. Bookings are essential.
  12. Use of the Government Covid-Safe App: we strongly recommend that all clients download the Government’s COVID SAFE phone app.  Our team have downloaded the app to ensure we are able to facilitate fast and effective contact tracing in the event of an outbreak.

We kindly ask that you:

  • Contact us ahead of time to re-arrange your appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a temperature or if any person in your household has cold symptoms or is self-isolating.
  • Remain informed and aware of the latest government Covid 19 announcements. Self isolate if you have been to any hotspots even if you are not displaying symptoms.
  • Be patient with us:
    • Covid precautions have changed the way we are working and sometimes require us to adjust rosters at short notice;
    • If we need to ask screening questions;
    • If we take slightly longer to respond to your inquiries.
  • Please arrive at the agreed time.
  • NO cash please. Bring a credit or EFTPOS card as your payment.  Visa or MasterCard are preferred.
  • Wash your hands and/or apply hand sanitiser as directed by our team before and after each treatment.
  • If asked, please follow direction and wear a face mask.
  • Talk to your stylist if you feel uncomfortable with any part of your service.
  • Consider downloading the government’s Covid Safe app to assist in contact tracing should an outbreak occur.

Tuesday 11:30am to 7:00pm

Wednesday 11 am to 8:00pm

Thursday 11 am to 8:00pm

 Friday 10 am to 6:00pm

Saturday 9 am to 6:00pm

  • Help our staff remain employed and earning survival income;
  • Help our suppliers and landlords feel confident that we are doing everything we can to keep the economy functioning as well as possible.
