At Lily Jackson Hair & Make up we choose to use Trichovedic Hydro Spa Keratin Smoothing Treatment. Trichovedic means Hair Wisdom. Trichovedic is an Australian made and owned company that has been created by an experienced hairdresser, tricholigist and hair care formulator John Cook. The range draws on herbal and plant derived extracts to create products that outperform other conventional brands on the market. The range is free of any animal testing.
At Lily Jackson we stock a range of Trichovedic shampoos and conditioners along with providing the professional keratin service. These products are sulphate and sodium chloride free and formulated from natural glucose and coconut oil derivitives. They are hypoallergenic, ultra mild and colour safe and perfect for Keratin Smoothing Treatment Aftercare. After your first keratin treatment in fact, you recieve complimentary shampoo and conditioner to take home with you so that we can ensure you maintain the best results for your hair!
So what makes this keratin treatment so great you ask?
Trichovedic Keratin Smoothing Treatment infuses and bonds Keratin, Wheat and Rice Proteins into and onto the cuticle layer of the hair shaft. Combined with amino acids, silicones and anti static agents, the results are add incredible shine, smoothness, enhanced strength and condition, frizz free and humidity proofed qualities to your hair. The hair is straightened around 90% giving it a far more natural look than chemical straighteners whilst maitaining great condition and even improving the condition of the hair. The treatment does not chemically rearrange the internal disulphide bond structure of the hair and it can be used on coloured, foiled and chemically straightened hair.
How often do you need to have a keratin treatment to maintain the result?
After you have your first keratin treatment we recommend having the second service after a 6 week period, for each consecutive treatment the time frame can be extended to 12 weeks.
What about formaldehyde?
Many keratin treatments have been taken off the market in Australia because of the level of formaldehyde they contain. Formaldehyde is not an ingredient in HydroSpa Keratin Smoothing Treatment although trace quantities can be the result of other ingredients interacting in the formulation. Trichovedic have conducted both content and air sample testing of HydroSpa Keratin Smoothing Treatment to ensure that any trace levels of formaldehyde are substantially lower than those permitted. Trichovedic are so transparent about their product’s safeness in relation to being formaldehyde free that they post the test results of each batch of their keratin treatment on their website.
